The short answer
Gym Junksters handles hot tub removal across Broward and southern Palm Beach County. Drained, disconnected, cut down in place when it will not fit through the gate, and hauled away. You do not have to do any of that part first. Most tubs are a single-visit job. Free quotes: (954) 774-0277.

Here is the sentence the rest of this page exists to deliver: you do not have to drain it, disconnect it or dismantle it before we arrive. Plenty of companies make the customer do that part. If you could, you would not be searching for this.
A hot tub is roughly five hundred pounds dry and it is almost always in a back yard behind a fence, a screen cage or a pool deck built around it. The thing that moves the number is not the size of the tub. It is whether it can come out whole or has to be cut down where it stands.
We drain it, kill the power at the disconnect, cut or unbolt the shell, pull the pumps and heater, and take the pad it sat on if you want that gone too. One of our reviews mentions we took the plywood underneath at no charge, which is just what should happen when you are already there with a truck.
What goes in the truck
- Portable hot tubs, spas and jacuzzis
- Swim spas and endless pools
- Inflatable and soft-sided tubs
Do I have to drain the hot tub first?
No. We bring a pump and we drain it. Opening the drain valve the night before saves an hour and is welcome, but it is not a condition of the quote and it is not a surcharge if you did not. In this trade an undrained tub is a routine trigger for a surprise fee. Here it is part of the job we already quoted.
Do you take it out whole or cut it up?
Whichever the yard allows, and in South Florida the yard usually decides. A standard six-person tub is around seven or eight feet across. A side gate is three feet. If there is room to stand it on edge and dolly it, it goes out whole and it is the cheaper job. If not, it gets cut down in place with a saw and leaves in sections.
What does hot tub removal actually cost?
Access, far more than the tub itself. Two identical six-person tubs in two back yards a street apart can be very different afternoons. Every one of these gets looked at before a number is written down.
- Can it come out whole? The cheapest version of this job. Clear path, wide gate, tub on a slab at grade.
- Does it have to be cut down? Add teardown time. This is the most common outcome behind a screen cage.
- Is it on a second-floor balcony or a raised deck? Now it is a controlled lowering rather than a carry, and it is priced as such.
How the job runs, start to finish
Four steps. Three of them are ours.
-
Send a photo of the tub and the gate it has to come through
Or call and describe it. What sets the price is how much room the load takes up in the truck, and a picture shows that. (954) 774-0277, call or text.
-
We look at it and quote it on site
In writing, before anything moves. That number covers the carry, the drive, every dump fee and sweeping the spot afterwards. Nothing gets added on the way out.
-
We do the carrying
Down the stairs, through the side gate, out from behind the screen cage. Nothing has to be at the curb first and nothing has to come apart first. You point at it.
-
You pay once it is in the truck
Cash, card or digital. Not a deposit, not up front, and the quote you approved is the quote you pay.

Hot Tub & Spa Removal: the questions we get
Do I have to drain the hot tub before you remove it?
No. Draining is part of the job and it is inside the quoted price. If you want to open the drain valve the night before to save time, that helps and we appreciate it, but nothing changes on the invoice either way.
How much does it cost to remove a hot tub in South Florida?
Whether it can come out whole or has to be cut down in place moves the price more than the size of the tub does. A clear path and a wide gate is the cheap version. A cut-down inside a screen cage, a lift off a raised deck, a deck surround going with it or a twelve-foot swim spa all take longer. The real number is free, on site, in writing, before we start.
Do you disconnect the electrical?
Yes. We shut off the 240-volt disconnect and detach the whip at the tub. We do not do panel work or remove the abandoned circuit and conduit, because that is licensed electrical work.
