The short answer

Gym Junksters handles construction debris removal across Broward and Palm Beach County. Drywall, tile, lumber, cabinets, roofing and demolition tear-out, hand-loaded from wherever it sits. It is quoted by the load, and dense material by weight. Same-day pickup is usually available. Free quote: (954) 774-0277.

Construction debris gets hauled by the load, and the dense half of it gets weighed rather than measured. Call in the morning and it is usually gone the same day, which is the number that actually matters when the tile guy is standing in a hallway full of the last guy’s drywall.

The before and after of the lumber pile is a fair picture of this work: scrap lumber that had taken over a property, hand-loaded, hauled, and the ground raked behind it. Loading tile and block by hand is leg day with a deadline.

This is a separate page from ordinary junk removal because dense debris does not behave like furniture. It is priced differently, and almost every city in Broward and Palm Beach flatly refuses it at the curb.

What goes in the truck

  • Drywall, plaster, insulation and framing lumber
  • Tile, thinset, brick, block, pavers and small concrete
  • Cabinets, countertops, vanities and built-ins

Why dense debris is priced by weight, not volume

A junk truck holds roughly 14 to 18 cubic yards. Fill it with sofas and mattresses and you run out of space long before you run out of weight. Fill it with tile, thinset, brick, block, dirt or wet drywall and the opposite happens. The truck hits its legal axle weight when it is maybe a third full, and the transfer station charges by the ton on the way in.

  • Light and bulky is cheap per yard. Cabinets, trim, insulation, framing lumber, carpet and pad.
  • Dense and heavy is priced by the ton. Tile, thinset, mortar, brick, block, pavers, concrete, dirt, sod, roofing.
  • Mixed loads get separated at the quote. We will tell you which part of the pile is driving the number.

Your city will not take this at the curb

This is the single most useful thing on the page, and it is almost never published. Construction and demolition debris is excluded from the free bulk program in nearly every city we serve.

Dumpster or hauler? The honest comparison

Sometimes the container wins and we will say so. A roll-off is rented by size and by the number of days it sits on your driveway, with a tonnage allowance built in and a per-ton rate on everything past it. If you are doing a multi-week demolition, you have the labor to load it yourself, and you can lose the driveway for two weeks, the container is cheaper per cubic yard.

How the job runs, start to finish

Four steps. Three of them are ours.

  1. Send a photo of the debris pile

Or call and describe it. What sets the price is how much room the load takes up in the truck, and a picture shows that. (954) 774-0277, call or text.

  2. We look at it and quote it on site

In writing, before anything moves. That number covers the carry, the drive, every dump fee and sweeping the spot afterwards. Nothing gets added on the way out.

  3. We do the carrying

Down the stairs, through the side gate, out from behind the screen cage. Nothing has to be at the curb first and nothing has to come apart first. You point at it.

  4. You pay once it is in the truck

Cash, card or digital. Not a deposit, not up front, and the quote you approved is the quote you pay.

Construction & Renovation Debris: the questions we get

Do you remove construction debris for contractors?

Yes. Remodelers, GCs, flippers, flooring crews and handymen across Broward and southern Palm Beach, on-call or scheduled between trades. It is quoted by the load, free and in writing on site, and paid once the truck is loaded. Same-day is usually available. Call or text (954) 774-0277.

Why are drywall and tile priced by weight instead of volume?

Because a truck hits its legal weight limit long before dense material fills it, and the transfer station charges by the ton at the scale. Tile, thinset, brick, block, concrete, dirt, sod and roofing all do this. The heavy-material charge sits on top of the load and it is quoted before anything moves. Light bulky material like cabinets, trim and framing lumber is priced by volume as usual.

Will my city take renovation debris on bulk trash day?

Almost certainly not. Sunrise refuses construction, remodeling and demolition debris outright including concrete and brickwork. Coconut Creek bans roofing debris, tile, concrete, brick and stone. Coral Springs allows two cubic yards of it inside a six-yard cap. Boynton Beach allows one cubic yard a week. Margate, Tamarac, Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Parkland, Deerfield Beach, Plantation, Lighthouse Point, Delray Beach and Boca Raton exclude it entirely.

Point at it. We will take it from there.
